FALL Season Dates

Thur, Sept 2^nd at 7pm in the school hall - CYO General Meeting – The CYO General meetings are the best opportunities for the CYO board to hear and discuss your questions and concerns. They are interactive and the place where we determine the direction of the program. The board appreciates your participation in these meetings.
Fri, Sept 3^rd – Deadline for registration with the Archdiocese for 1-8th grade players (see below)
Fri, Sept 10^th – J.V. and Varsity Soccer Games begin this weekend.
Fri, Sept 17^th – K-2nd Grade Soccer Begins at 5:30pm along with a rededication of the Snack Shack to the Adami Family who built the Snack Shack many years ago. Ceremony will occur between the games at 6:30pm.
Fri, Sept 17^th – Rookie (3rd & 4th Grade) Soccer begins this weekend.
Sat, Sept 18^th at 7pm – First Annual Corn Toss Tournament – This CYO fundraiser is a tournament event for adults on the blacktop next to the field. Sure to be a great time!
Sun, Sept 26^th – First of 4 Cross Country Events – brand new for St. B’s kids – see details below
Sat, Nov 6^th – 4pm – 10pm – Annual 5th Quarter Celebration – come celebrate on the field following a staunch rivalry game between St. Johns and Gonzaga (game is at Blair H.S.)

First Annual Cornhole Cup – Saturday, Sept 18th at 7pm

Come reconnect with the St. Bernadette community, support the CYO, and hang onto summer for a little longer at St. B’s first ever CYO Cornhole Cup!
Tournament Kernels: Two-person teams, each guaranteed at least 3 games. Cornhole rules available at www.playcornhole.org. Prizes for the champions and runners-up. Snack Shack food at rock-bottom prices and free refreshments and souvenir cups for registrants.
Entry Fee: $30 per person; $60 per team. $15 donation to attend/support. All proceeds go to St. Bernadette CYO.
Raffle: Buy tickets for a chance to win custom-made, regulation Redskins or Terps Cornhole Boards (estimated value: $160 per set). Buy one ticket for $10 or three tickets for $25. Registration Details: Email your team name (be creative!) and your partner’s name to devindoolan@yahoo.com. Cross Country comes to St. B’s – THIS YEAR – THIS MONTH!!!!

St. Bernadette's Cross Country will make its debut this fall! All interested athletes and parents should fill out the attached registration form and return to Jen Herlihy (via home or school address) with a check for $30 Registration to St. Bernadette CYO. Deadline is Sept 17th.

All interested parents are urged to attend the CYO meeting on September 2nd in the school hall. Our coaching staff will be in attendance and there will be a short breakout meeting to discuss practice and meet schedules.

PLEASE be there as many of you have expressed concern about scheduling conflicts. This will be the time to work that out!

FACTS: Essentially there are 4 meets, three plus a championship.

Grades 1 & 2 - 1k run (we will not offer this year as it involves an entirely different practice approach)
Grades 3, 4, and 5 - 3K
Grades 6, 7, and 8 - 4K

Meets are on Sundays starting September 26th. (This was accidentally published as Mondays)

ARCHDIOCESAN REGISTRATION – A must for all soccer players grade 1 – 8

This is a reminder that every player (grades 1-8) needs to update their registration with the Archdiocese each school year. Please have this complete before September 3rd. Since the soccer season will begin shortly, please make sure that you have updated your sons' and daughters’ registrations so that no eligibility issues pop up during the season. The reason you need to register with the Archdiocese is to permit the Commissioners to "build" each team's roster within the Archdiocese's CYO system. If your son or daughter is not registered with the Archdiocese, he or she cannot be placed on a team roster. To register:

Under the section entitled “Online Registration," click on "Players (to register participants)”
