Mark your calendars!  The Coach B Award Ceremony will be held on June 5th, 2011 in the School Hall following the 9am Mass. 

We are currently accepting nominations for the 2011 Coach B Award. Do you have a student-athlete on your team who exemplifies leadership, humility, teamwork and a commitment to Catholic community and service? Fellow parents and coaches can make recommendations. The first annual Coach B Award, in memory of Tom Bernier, was awarded to Lexy Costanzo in June 2010.

Congratulations, Lexy on an outstanding job as a student athlete, a committed Catholic and an all around great kid.

We also had 12 nominees for the award who each have wonderful qualities as well. It was a tough decision between these great kids!

Tom Bernier was a St. Bernadette alumnus, whose father, Bernard Bernier, was a Deacon here for many years. Tom chose to raise his daughter, Jackie, here in the St. Bernadette community and signed on as her soccer coach when she was in Kindergarten. Tom led these children for 5 years developing not only their soccer skills, but demonstrating by his life example how to be thoughtful, encouraging, and generally good Catholic athletes.

Thanks to our coaches and nomination committee for working hard toward making this event happen. A huge thank you goes out to the entire Bernier family, the Higgins family and the Keehan family for all their support as well. The event had a great turnout!
